Nissan Murano 2016 Model

2016 MURANO EXTERIOR
Inspired by the future of aerospace, Murano's striking aerodynamic body looks as though it was shaped by the wind. The fluid profile begins with the V-Motion Grille and sweeps into a signature floating roofline that appears to hover above the cabin, and ends at rear side pillars that resemble a jet's tail.

The boomerang-shaped headlights integrate with the aerodynamic profile to become a vital part of the dramatic overall design. Available high-efficiency LED headlamps create a light pattern that replicates natural daylight. The signature LED Daytime Running Lights dramatically arch around the headlights and provide a low-intensity, but highly visible light.

An available feature, the 2016 Murano's sweeping, uninterrupted moonroof reaches over both rows of seats, so even passengers in the back get a clear view of the sky and experience an open, natural atmosphere rarely found in the back seat of a crossover.
2016 Nissan Murano "floating roof" appearance
The unique “floating roof” gives Murano a lower, lighter profile — an inspired contrast to the bulkiness of a traditional SUV. The pillarless effect carries through to the interior, giving it an open, airy feeling.

Its interior is an expression of serenity We've redesigned the control panel to be simpler and more intuitive. Ambient lighting gives the cabin a soft, warm glow. Subtle chrome and trim accents in Brushed Silver and Jasper Pearlescent complement the Cashmere, Graphite, or Mocha Leather interior. And whether it's a hot day or a cool night, the cabin can be waiting for you at a pleasant 72°, thanks to the Remote Engine Start System with Intelligent Climate Control. Rear passengers enjoy available outboard heated seats, plus a USB Connection Port with smartphone interface. Above you, the available expanded panoramic moonroof stretches from front to back and seems to breathe in light. An atmosphere this premium makes it easy to enjoy the journey — and might make your destination seem beside the point.
Murano offers you and your passengers a chance to travel in superior comfort and style. There's pleasure in the small things, like softer headrests with just the right amount of give, and in the big things, like front and rear outboard Zero Gravity Seats. These seats were inspired by space-age technology and help take pressure off the lower back and reduce fatigue, leading the way for longer outings and spontaneous road trips. Rear passengers can recline and activate their own available heated seats, which warm you up in moments. They also have their very own first-in-class available rear USB outlet. In addition to warming up, the front seats also cool down. It's an elevated driving experience for everyone on board.

It's got space and flexibility, and a seamless way to use it all. You can nearly double your cargo volume to 69.9 cubic feet when you collapse the 60/40 split rear seats with just the pull of a lever that can be found in either the driver's area, or the cargo area. Pull that lever again and they'll power up automatically.
Power liftgate
For simpler loading and unloading, control Murano's available power liftgate from your remote, the dashboard, or a button on the hatch.

Nissan India Micra Road Test

By Ritesh Madhok
Nissan India had been a slow starter in India with only 2 models the Luxury Sedan Teana and the SUV X Trail both as CBUs for India. The Micra was the first small car that it launched for India and also set up a large manufacturing unit at Chennai jointly with Renault especially for the Micra. The Petrol Micra hit Indian roads a few months back is selling in decent numbers and Nissan is also exporting the Indian built Micras to many countries. Off late to play the number game in India every car model must have a Diesel variant and Nissan quickly realized this and got the Diesel version of the Micra. The Micra Diesel uses the tried and trusted 1.5 litre CRDI Diesel engine from its sibling the Mahindra-Renault Logan code named K9K. To know more read on the review of Nissan Micra Dci.
Nissan Micra Dci Exteriors
The Nissan Micra Dci from the outside is identical to the petrol sibling, its rather cute and looks very refreshing and has an sort of retro look to it. The Micras headlamps and the front end remind you of the Porsche, the cute pushed back rounded lights go with the overall rounded look. The large bumper up front looks sporty along with the air dams that go way down. A large round Nissan logo on the bonnet shouts its branding. The front grille is made up in two parts with a thick chrome strip running across Micras face. The side profile of the Nissan Micra Dci is very retro and has the classic round cut on the rear window quarter glass.
The round sloping roof and the rear end with its perfectly curved window and the slightly bulging tail lamps give it a Volkswagen Beetle kind of look. The rear as mentioned is very classy with the protruding tail lamps and a all new rear spoiler that the Diesel Micra gets. Also noteworthy here is the smart keyless entry where one can unlock the car without the keys by just pressing the button on the front door handle, provided you have the car remote with you, a real smart touch that even cars much bigger and expensive don’t have in India.
The Nissan Teana has this keyless entry feature. The roof also retains the boomerang shaped slits giving the top a aerodynamic touch. The other noticeable change is the addition of the 15 inch alloy wheels that help the drive in a big way, you will read about that in the drive part of my review. At the rear you get the dCI badging that proclaims this car as the Nissan Micra Diesel. Fit and finish on the outside is very good, the doors open wide aiding a comfortable entry-exit. The Micra looks smarter now with the upsized 15 inched alloys that go very well with the cars overall shape and design.
Nissan Micra Dci Interiors
The Nissan Micra Dci interiors also remain unchanged as compared to the petrol sibling. Interior of the Micra is very fresh and has a bright feel to it thanks to the use of light colors on the upholstery and dashboard plastics. The round theme is carried in the cabin and everything has a very round feel to it. The Instrument cluster is well designed and easy to read.
The MID or multi info display is placed in this cluster that tells you the trip meter, distance the car can travel with the diesel in the tank, overall average, and instant average of the car. The Steering now has the Nissan logo in chrome which the Petrol Micra still lacks, a fake metal plastic inserts on the steering and on the gear knob. The Climate control is again based on the round theme and looks very well designed.
The Nissan Micra Dci has a single glovebox and misses out on the extra glove box which is on the Petrol sibling has. MP3-FM radio comes as standard and the audio quality is very audible and clear and also has the AUX input port to connect your Ipod. The gear changer gets the fake metal touch and now feels much better to grip. Front seats are very comfortable but the driver seat misses out on the height adjust that the Petrol Micra has.
Rear seat is bench type with integrated headrests; these are not 60:40 split seats. Interiors are made of high quality material and the fabric used on the seats etc is also of good quality. The smart keyless start stop button is very clever touch so is the electric auto-fold mirrors on busy traffic city roads where you are always at the risk of touching the mirrors to a pedestrian or another vehicle.
Everything in here feels and works very well. A dead pedal-clutch footrest would have been more than welcome in here never the less the clutch is very light and not much foot pressure used to engage and change gears. Driver side airbag comes standard but the passenger side air bag is sorely missed. Overall the Nissan Micra Dci has a very roomy and fresh interiors among all other cars in its segment.
Nissan Micra Dci Engine – Drive

The clever thing that Nissan did was to utilize the Mahindra- Renault Logans Diesel engine on the Micra. This 1.5 litre CRDI engine codenamed K9K is an eight valve engine that produces 64 PS @ 4000rpm and generates 160Nm of torque as low as 2000rpm. The K9K engine is one of the most selling engines from the French car maker and has been doing an able duty on the Logans here in India.
This engine has the power to weight ratio advantage on the Micra as the Micra is much lighter than the Logan so performance and efficiency has drastically gone up. Crank the engine and the 1.5 dCI comes to life, the Diesel clatter is not very evident in the cabin thanks to the good job that the cabin noise dampers that Nissan has used. The engine is smooth and feels refined when revved.
Engage the first gear and the Nissan Micra Dci once on the move builds speed in a very sedate fashion, don’t expect instant pickup with the turbo kicking in but the Micra Diesel has a very linear power build up which is best experienced in the 2nd and the 3rd gear. Power is good enough and the pickup is good. Overtaking is easy and the Micra Diesel never feels out of breath. There is no turbo lag at any RPM as on a few 3 cylinder diesel small cars.
The drive feel is responsive and the Nissan Micra Dci sings away and crosses 100kmph easily on third gear. The upsized 15inch alloys also help in the drive quality and the car now feels very planted at all speeds. The Nissan Micra Dci touches the 100kmph speed barrier in about 15.3 seconds which is not bad at all. The gear shifts are positive and crisp and the ratios are tuned for a mix of city and highway driving styles. The suspension setup also remains ditto like that of the Petrol Micra, McPherson Sturt on the front and Torsion beams at rear iron out the bad roads that you put the Micra on.
The biggest USP that the Nissan Micra Dci has is the fuel efficiency figures that Nissan claims as the best in the segment. During my test run the Nissan Micra Dci returned with close to 22kmpl on the highway and close to 19kmpl on the city road conditions which is exemplary.
Verdict

With the Nissan Micra Dci, Nissan surely is taking the Indian market very seriously. The Micra was always a very good car and now with the able Diesel engine plunked in makes it a irresistible car with super high fuel efficiency figures that none of the competitors can match yet and smart innovative features like the keyless entry-exit and button start-stop which even cars much bigger and costlier than the Micra don’t have.

New Nissan Patrol 2010 Pictures

Nissan Patrol 2010 Review

The all-new 2010 Nissan Patrol was launched on February 13th, at a VIP event in Abu Dhabi. While we didn’t go, information is already trickling down on the net about the redesigned Patrol.
The 2010 Nissan Patrol is powered by a 400 hp 5.6-litre V8 with 560 Nm, with features such as “VVEL” variable-valve timing and “DIG” direct injection, and mated to a 7-speed automatic. A variable 4×4 Mode package allows switching between four drive modes: sand, on-road, rock and snow, with the flick of a switch. And a “Hydraulic Body Motion Control” system is available, seemingly a fancy term for four-wheel independent air suspension. Also available are an electronic locking rear differential, hill start and hill descent control, as well as lane-departure warning, automatic braking and stability control.
While there is no written mention of a lower engine option anywhere, one presentation even spoke of a base 317 hp 5.6-litre V8 with 521 Nm of torque, a possible carryover engine from the outgoing Armada. We also found out that there are two minor exterior variants, with the lower models getting a simpler offroad-friendly front bumper and the top model getting a fancier-moulded “city” front bumper.
The 2010 Patrol is can be outfitted as a full luxury SUV, with climate-controlled leather seats, Arabic-supported HDD navigation, wide WVGA 8-inch touchscreen, multi-screen DVD entertainment system, 9.3GB Music Box hard drive, Bluetooth, power rear liftgate, keyless start, adaptive cruise control, around-view cameras, and a centre console cool-box that can be opened from both 1st & 2nd-row seats. A Nissan first is the Off-road Monitor that provides real-time information such as tyre conditions involving steer angle, slip and pressure.

After more than a decade with minimal changes, the Nissan Patrol has been redesigned from the ground up, aiming to regain some of the market-share lost to its rivals. The all-new Patrol can be optioned up with enough features to classify it as a full-fledged luxury vehicle, with some class-leading features and new technology. Engine options include a base 5.6-litre V8 with 5-speed automatic carried over from the outgoing Armada, known as the Patrol SE, as well as a brand-new 5.6-litre V8 with more power, direct injection and a 7-speed automatic, known as the Patrol LE. Depending on trim level, the 7-seater Patrol can be had with standard or optional features such as all-wheel-drive with low-range gearing, hydraulic independent air suspension, computerised terrain response system, climate-controlled leather seats, Arabic-supported HDD navigation, wide WVGA 8-inch touchscreen, multi-screen DVD entertainment system, 9.3GB Music Box hard drive, Bluetooth, power rear liftgate, keyless start, adaptive cruise control, 20-inch alloy wheels, power-folding 3rd-row seat, around-view cameras, and a centre console cool-box that can be opened from both 1st & 2nd-row seats. Also available is an Off-road Monitor that provides real-time information such as tyre conditions involving steer angle, slip and pressure, as well as hill start, hill descent, and an electronically-locking rear difference.
Most models get a regular offroad-ready front bumper, while the top trims get a slightly-lower 'city' bumper. Safety features include two front airbags and numerous side-curtain airbags, stability control and ABS, as well as optional lane-departure warning, tyre-pressure monitor and auto-braking systems. The previous version of the Patrol continued to be on sale alongside this new model during 2010, as a basic offroader. However, the new model is so popular that buyers put down hefty deposits before performance specs were even released

New 2009 Nissan Nismo 370Z In New York Auto Show

Built by Nissan's Specialty Vehicles Group with the help of Autech Japan, Nissan's longtime conversion partner, project engineers focused their efforts on making the new 2009 Nissan Nismo 370Z more aggressive in just about every aspect. First off, it looks the part. Its race-car-like body kit fits the stock lines well and produces more downforce at speed, officials say. Look closely at its nose and the integrated canard design on each side becomes evident. Although it has the same wheelbase as the stock 370Z at 100.4 in., the Nismo model is some 7-in. longer (167.2 in. stock vs. 174.3 in. Nismo) overall and slightly narrower (72.8 in. stock vs. 72.6 in. Nismo). Matching the kit's racer attitude on each corner are a set of wider, edition-specific lightweight five-spoke 19-in. Rays Japan alloys. The car's Nismo sport brakes (the same binders as on the 370Z Sport Package) at 14 in. front/13.8 in. rear, hide behind the forged rollers.
Speaking of corners, the Nismo Z is poised to attack all types of bends in full force thanks to a sturdier suspension setup. Engineers managed to tighten up the spring rates by 15% and 10%, front and rear, respectively, and chassis bars by 15% (front) and 50% (rear). Yes, 50%. The Nismo Z's complete stiffness rate is up an impressive 15% overall, according to Nissan.

Nissan Maxima 2009

The new Maxima will play an increasingly important role in the large and medium car market by offering the best blend of distinctive luxury - at an attainable price,” said Mr Thompson. “We are doubling the appeal of the new Maxima in Australia with our new two-engine model strategy and a very attractive entry price.”“The new 2.5-litre V6 engine, the sharp pricing right in the heart of the four-cylinder market and the unprecedented high level of luxury features as standard, makes the Maxima 250 ST-L unbeatable. For a start, no one else in this market sector offers leather upholstery as standard. We are making four-cylinder large car customers an offer they can’t afford to ignore in the Maxima ST-L,” he said. “And with the elegant Maxima ST-S and Ti sedans, an impressive ride and luxurious appointments will give the new Maxima the muscle to grow its sales in the upper end of the large car market where there are many customers looking for unparalleled value.”
Perhaps the biggest change to the Maxima line-up as a whole is the introduction of the smaller VQ25DE 2.5-litre V6 engine to the range.
This award winning power-plant is featured exclusively in the 250 ST-L and is a free revving unit that is quite smooth and linear in delivery managing 134kW at 6000rpm.
Power delivery comes courtesy of Nissan’s Xtronic CVT (automatic) transmission that keeps the car within its torque range long enough to utilise the 228Nm on hand at 4400rpm under steady acceleration.
Once on the open road the engine is barely noticeable in terms of noise, something Nissan have gone to great lengths in improving across the new J32 series, and also manages exceptional fuel economy at just 9.5-litres per 100km as a combined average, that’s 0.5-litres less the Toyota’s four-cylinder Camry.

Nissan GT -R

GT-R's best-known nickname, "Godzilla" -- so called because the automotive press found previous generations as ferocious and all-conquering as Japan's fire-breathing monster. But following a full week of intensive evaluation in Nissan's new sports car, we here at Motor Trend now lay claim to a more suitable GT-R moniker -- Ichiban. From Japanese, ichiban translates to "number one." In Motor Trend vernacular, however, it simply denotes: 2009 Car of the Year.
